Valentine's Day Care Package

Being away at college, can be tough on the students as well as their parents.  I know it is for me being that my daughter is twelve hours away. Unfortunately, we don't get to visit her as often as I would like.  Sending her care packages is my way to let her know how much we love and miss her.  I gathered a few of my daughter's favorite things and sent them out in a Valentine care package to her.

There are so many cute, free printable tags I find on blogs that make it easy to add a little pizazz to the gifts.  I found these adorable free printables here.

This tag is from here.

Gathered everything together and put it in a Valentine's bag.

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Halloween Treats

One of my favorite things to do for family and friends is to give them "goody bags" for the holidays.  This year for Halloween, I included personalized notepads, trinkets
and lots of candy.

Notepad wrapped in a cellophane bag and topped with a sticker from the Martha Stewart Halloween collection.
Lots of goodies and candy in fun bags.

The Trick or Treat tag can be found here.

Found this Halloween free printable tag here.

Our town had it's trick or treating this last Sunday.  Here's the treat bags I handed out to the trick-or-treaters.  The striped bags are from Michaels and the labels are from Shutterfly.

Happy Halloween!!!

I love monograms and feel that one can never have to many monogrammed things.

When I saw that Southern Living Preppy Style  was having a giveaway for a monogrammed plate from Pink Wasabi Inc., I entered as fast as my hands could type.

If I was lucky enough to be the winner, I thought I would select a pattern for everyday that I could put the kiddies snacks on after they get home from school, like these:

or how about this preppy one?
(Not sure the boys would appreciate this one.)

But then I spotted these next two patterns and instantly knew it would be one of these.

 Love, love, love this pattern.

Blog Hopping

When I stumbled upon Simple Details blog and saw the beautiful rug that she hand painted, I had to share.  I love the pattern and colors she used.  Go check out the blog to see how she did it at Simple Details.

It was love at first sight when I saw this snack all wrapped up in the cutest, but simple giftwrap.  The perfect gift for a neighbor, teacher, friend.  Go see how to ensemble this at Event Trader

I've been putting together a "Bag Full Of Sunshine" for a friend battling breast cancer.  I have most of the things bought and have begun assembling them in a yellow gift bag.  Today I found the perfect finishing touch for my bag at 6th Street Design School.  She put together a "little sunshine" for a friend.

For all kinds of DIY projects, check out Simply Kierste.

And this You Tube video was just too funny not to share!!!
(Watch for the last two ladies!!!)

Impromptu Fall Party

We decided to have a little impromptu get together for my daughter's friends after their homecoming dance.  I did a quick run to the grocery store and picked up a few goodies.  With some cellophane bags and assorted ribbons, I did some quick wrapping to make them festive.

I love pretty packaging....much more festive.

So glad I recently purchased the paper straws because they fit perfectly in the apothecary jar.

Happy Fall

While on my morning walk in the neighborhood, I saw this adorable fall planter arrangement and instantly fell in love.  It's so unusual and creative.  I love how she used the white and green pumpkins and various greenery.

(Sorry for the poor photo quality. I took it with my cell phone.)

I ran across these pink bathrooms while surfing the internet in search of bathroom ideas.

Traditional, preppy, classic lines and the perfect bath for girls!!!
I'm in love with the cabinets. If I had an endless bank account,
this would be my daughter's bathroom.

Soft and sweet.

Gorgeous and modern with a touch of pink.

Fun stripes for a little girls bath.
